Trainings and workshops for sustainable employability in education

Target group and implementation

Our trainings and workshops are designed for childcare, primary, and secondary schools that want to invest in:

  • Prevention and reducing absenteeism

  • Employee well-being and sustainable performance

  • Practical support for teachers and pedagogical staff

The programs can be delivered both team-focused and individually:

  • Team trainings to strengthen collaboration, resilience, and sustainable employability

  • Preventive interventions to support absenteeism policies

  • Individual development programs, fitting within teachers’ professional development hours

This approach strengthens both collective and individual resilience within the school, contributing to a positive work culture and better classroom outcomes.

Integrated approach

Where appropriate, an integrated approach can be implemented. I collaborate with a network of professionals focused on enhancing children’s resilience.

Parents can also be involved through parent evenings, information sessions, or webinars, supporting a coherent school-wide strategy.

Why mindfulness for teachers?

Mindfulness provides teachers with practical tools to reduce stress and build resilience. Research shows that mindfulness trainings improve teacher well-being, reduce burnout symptoms, and enhance emotional regulation and self-compassion. These benefits translate directly into a more positive classroom climate and higher teaching effectiveness, which also positively impacts students. While results may vary per group, the overall effect on teacher well-being and school outcomes is clearly positive.

Evidence and research on mindfulness in schools

Increasing scientific evidence supports the effectiveness of mindfulness in education:

This academic chapter reviews research showing that when teachers engage in mindfulness and compassion practices, they improve emotion regulation, reduce stress and enhance their response to student needs, leading to better teaching and classroom climate.

This peer‑reviewed clinical trial found that an MBSR‑style mindfulness program for K–12 educators significantly increased teacher wellbeing and reduced stress, evidence that mindfulness training supports teacher health and professional functioning.

The studies show that mindfulness not only supports teacher well-being but also contributes to a positive social climate, improved collaboration, and resilience within teams.

Alignment and next steps

Feel free to get in touch so we can explore concrete ways to support stress reduction, prevent absenteeism, and strengthen team resilience.

At Mettaya, I offer internationally recognized, evidence-based mindfulness interventions (MBSR) and guidance, tailored both for individual teachers and for teaching teams. The aim is to enhance sustainable employability, well-being, and prevent burnout.

Trainings and workshops for schools

The trainings and workshops are specifically designed for teachers and provide practical tools for stress management, nervous system regulation, and emotional regulation. These programs help reduce absenteeism, strengthen professional resilience, and maintain high teaching quality.

Strategic challenges in schools

Many educational organizations face:

  • Increasing absenteeism and long-term staff shortages

  • Structural workload and emotional strain

  • The need for preventive action within HR and occupational health policies

  • Limited time and resources for sustainable interventions

There is a need for effective, preventive, and scalable solutions that align with policy goals and the daily reality of teachers.

Preventive interventions for teachers
